What to build next

You started this course with a form that did nothing but sit there. You are finishing it with an automation that replies to every enquiry within seconds, quietly judges which ones are worth chasing, and builds you a list of them without a single copy and paste. That is not a small thing. Most businesses never get past the reading-about-it stage. You built it.

Let it bed in before you touch it again

Resist the urge to immediately go and automate five more things this weekend. Give this one a week or two of genuinely running, glance at Zap History every few days, and let real enquiries pass through it. You will spot small wording tweaks you want to make to the reply, or notice the filter needs a second condition once real customers start using the form in ways you did not quite predict. An automation earns your trust by running quietly and correctly, not by being finished on paper.

The same pattern, pointed at your next job

Here is the useful bit: you did not just build one automation, you learned the shape every automation in Zapier follows, a trigger, one or more actions, an optional filter, tested properly before it goes near a customer. Once that shape is second nature, spotting the next candidate is easy. Look for anything in your business where you currently take information from one place and copy it into another by hand:

• A booking that should add the customer to your CRM as well as your calendar.
• An invoice getting paid that should trigger a thank-you and a review request.
• A new lead from a spreadsheet that should get a task created for someone on your team.
